The Zoo!

Last weekend Mia got to go to the Zoo, twice. Doug had a meeting up in Seattle, and I didn't want to stay home, so we all went up. I thought about just going to Pike's Market, but Doug's meeting was up in Ballard, which is a little distance, and I hate driving in the City, so we looked for something closer we could do. There was a zoo about a mile away, so thats what we did. Mia loves animals. Whenever she see's one, even if its just on TV, she smiles and squeals! I didn't get any pictures, because let me tell you, trying to keep track of a grumpy 10 month old while walking around a park is hard. She didn't want to be in her stroller, which I brought the umbrella stroller with no storage, so I carried her, and the diaper bag and managed to push the stroller. Once I got her ok with the stroller it went a little easier. She loved the animals that we saw, but this zoo was a little difficult. The animals weren't all out so we didn't see too much. She liked the fish and the kangaroo though!
The next day Doug wanted to go to the zoo too, so we went to another zoo down in Tacoma. This experience was much more fun! It was a lot easier to have two people helping out with Mia, that and I brought the better stroller where I could have everything that I needed. Mia's favorite at this zoo were the prairie dogs. She also loved the arctic fox! She was so cute.
I love that Mia is getting bigger and older. Although it is sometimes sad to see her grow so fast, it is so much fun to be able to go out and do more with her. Doug and I are making all sorts of plans for this summer. We want to get out and do things. We really want to take a trip or two, but so far have not decided where we will go. My vote is Hawaii, which hopefully we will be able to do, but we will see. I really want to go to Florida too, but my parents are coming out the end of August, so I don't think I will, plus Doug wants to stay in the West. I am just looking forward to spending time together! These next pictures are just cute picture of Mia that I took on our front steps.
