Vermont to Washington
The past week and a half has been crazy. Last Monday, Doug and I left our home ( well, my parents home) in Vermont. It was a really long drive to Washington. Just about 3400 miles all together I believe.
The first day we drove from Vermont to Michigan. We stayed at my Aunts house for the night. It was really nice to see her, as well as two of my cousins. From Michigan we drove through IN, IL, WI, and MN. We spent the night in Rochester, MN. Then we drove to Rapid City SD. From there we went to Missoula, Montana. Then on Friday we made it to Washington. Along the way we took some stops. Not many though, we really wanted to get here. Here are a few pictures from along the way.
Here is Doug in front of Mount Rushmore. We tried to go the day before, but it was so rainy that we just went back the next morning.
They wanted $10 to park in the park area of Mount Rushmore, So Doug and I just pulled over and took some pictures.
This is Doug at the Prairie Dog farm. I don't know if you can see it real well, but there is a Prairie Dog crawling up his leg.
This was in Wall, SD. I went here when I was 5 years old with my family. I also have a picture somewhere of my mom and Aunt with the same statue/pose.
This is the Corn Palace in Mitchell, SD. This was also a place I went to when I was 5. It was fun to see. They decorate this place with different corn patterns every year.
A really cute Prairie Dog! Below is a picture of Doug and I at the Corn Palace. Doug looks sleepy.
