Meet the Roloffs!

We went back down to Oregon last weekend to the Roloff Pumpkin patch. It was so much fun! I have watched their show "Little People, Big World" since it started about six years ago. It was so much fun to go to their farm and see it all in person.

When they started the show six years ago their home was very small and older looking. Over the years they have done a bunch of remodels and this is how it is now. It is such a beautiful home and in such a great location!

Throughout the farm they have created different attractions. They have a Castle, pirate ship, Noah's arc, an old western town, and a couple of other things. We were able to stop in the western town and take pictures. While we were there, the Roloff's grandparents were showing people around, so I got my picture taken with them, and with Jeremy, the oldest kid.

This was the cute little potbelly big they had

They had a "Pumpkin house" with scenes in it made of pumpkins!

I was so surprised that the Roloff's were actually on the farm. They were walking around talking to everyone, and acting exactly the way they do on their show. It was really nice being able to meet Matt and Amy. This year is the last season of their show, which is sad. But it will be so much fun going to their pumpkin patch every year!

It was such a great day! We also were able to meet up with some friends I knew in Vermont, the Milne's. I hadn't seen them in 6 years and it was nice catching up!

Oh, and yea we did get pumpkins. I will post pictures of them as soon as I get them carved!

Oregon

Doug and I have been very busy with work the last couple of months. Doug got a promotion to Roaster, and has been learning his new job. I have also been busy with two jobs, so we have not had much time to explore the area. We were able to get down to Oregon a couple of times, once last month and then again this month. I love Oregon! It is such a pretty state! There is so much to do and see in Portland! In September we went to Portland to see our friends Scott and Mary, whom where visiting for work.

Scott, Mary, Doug and I at The Montage--what a great place to eat!

Portland has its famous "Voodoo Doughnut shop downtown. The line to the first shop was so long all day that we decided to go across the river to their second shop. They were yummy!

This was my doggy bag at the montage...

We had such a fun day in Portland! The city is so funky. It reminded me of a giant Burlington, Vermont. I think that Doug and I will be visiting Portland a lot while we live in the Northwest.
